nice video Dan, I’m surprised with the amount of wood working you do you haven’t got an impact driver. They are so much nicer to use than a regular drill driver.

what about using a couple of those bike headlight generaters in parallel, maybe put a gear on them instead of the friction wheel for durability

How many rpm were you able to get your Stirling engine at? You should be able to rig that to a small electric motor and see the results. Would be nice to see.

Great video! Wouldn´t be easier to have some sort of circuit breaker that stops the alternator to burn the battery instead of some other more complex mechanical solutions? Something like: turbine > alternator | breaker | > battery ?

just to add to this, it may have been said but alternators make AC and the diode inside turns it to DC…. just thought id add that

@muddymuddymuddmann Hey MUDDy, great videos man. Im still new kinda to this, but im almost done with the ceiling fan turbine coversion:) But as for using alternator for Wind Turbine with voltage reg.–being that the current increases at low rpms, does that mean more friction? and that is why it doesnt work? And then for high RPMs it just doesnt put out much power? do you know how much power it will make with votage reg at high rpm’s? thanks in advance. GreenPowerScience and MuddyMann rock!
